Founded as a small residential lawn service company in Bergen
County by President Jay Ferreira in 1980, Unique Landscape
Construction, Inc. has grown to provide a full-service array
of professional landscape design, construction, and
maintenance solutions for homeowners, businesses, and
municipalities.
From land-clearing to laying the last piece of sod, one call
to Unique does it all - for suppliers, bulk materials,
irrigation systems, and lighting to brick paver
walkways/driveways, retaining walls, ponds, waterfalls, and

Strongly committed to the future, Unique focuses on your
tastes and requirements - whether it be old-world masonry or a
contemporary look and feel - with a cost-effective creative
approach and a distinctive style designed to beautify your
outdoor environment. Every project has its own integrity, and
every job is done right the first - time.
In providing for the outward appearance of your property,
Unique's emphasis is on image and attention to the smallest
detail. Trucks and equipment are clean and clearly lettered,
and personnel are neat and well-groomed.
Because open and complete communication among staff and
clients is vital, Unique has two-way radios installed on all
equipment. Employees carry pagers and cell phones with 24-hour
voice mail. Calls are always returned promptly, particularly
for snow removal (within 15 minutes).
To ensure hands-on involvement and client satisfaction, Unique
has remained a small company. Owner Jay Ferreira, keenly aware
of the need for sound horticultural practices and on-the-job
safety, personally oversees all projects. A vast resource of
information, he is dedicated to helping others in the
industry, networking, promoting the professionalism of his
craft, and building long-term relationships with vendors and
clients.
